1. Who we are
Kinlovi is a product of Galvn Labs LLC (“we”, “us”) that helps families share the care of a loved one. Our registered address is 5830 East 2nd Street, STE 7000 #30307, Casper, WY 82609, United States. We are responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described in this policy.
Questions about privacy? Email privacy@kinlovi.com.
2. The short version
- We collect what’s needed to run Kinlovi for your family, and nothing more.
- Care information is visible only to the people in your care circle, according to their role.
- We don’t sell personal information, we don’t show ads and we don’t use your data for advertising.
- Notifications never show medication names or health details on the lock screen.
- You can delete your account at any time, right in the app.
3. Information we collect
Your account
- Your email address and name.
- If you sign in with Apple or Google, the account identifier, name and email they share with us (with Apple you can choose to hide your email).
- Sign-in sessions, so you stay signed in on your phone.
- Your relationship to the person you care for, if you add it, and your notification settings.
Care information your family adds
A care circle holds information about the person you care for, entered by you and your family. This can include their name, date of birth, relationship, time zone, allergies, conditions, blood type, medications and schedules, doses given or skipped, appointments and who is driving, tasks, family updates, emergency contacts, doctor and insurance details, advance directive notes, and documents or photos you upload (for example insurance cards or lab results).
This is health information. We process it only to provide Kinlovi to your circle, on the basis of the explicit consent of the person who adds it and their responsibility to have the right to share it. Please only add what helps the family care.
Your device
- A push notification token and the app language, so we can send reminders in your language.
- Basic technical logs (such as error messages and request times) to keep the service working and secure.
Purchases
If you subscribe to Family or Family+, Apple or Google process the payment. We never see your card details. We receive the subscription status (active, renewed, expired) from our subscription provider, RevenueCat, so the plan works for your circle. RevenueCat also receives your Kinlovi account identifier and basic subscription activity to verify purchases, restore access and report subscription performance.
We don’t access your phone’s location or address book and we don’t collect advertising identifiers. Contacts you enter and care circle memberships are stored to coordinate care. We don’t use advertising trackers. Subscription activity and technical diagnostics help us understand purchase performance and fix problems.
4. How we use information
- To provide Kinlovi: show your circle’s schedule, record doses, share updates and keep everyone in sync.
- To send the emails and notifications you expect: sign-in codes, dose, refill and appointment reminders, and invites.
- To manage Family and Family+ subscriptions for your circle.
- To keep Kinlovi secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To meet legal obligations.
5. Who can see your circle’s information
Everything in a care circle is shared only with the people who joined it, according to their role:
- Organizer and Family can see and edit the circle, including medications, the calendar, tasks, the emergency card and the document vault.
- Caregiver (for example a paid home aide) can see medications and log doses, see the calendar and their own tasks, but can’t open documents or change medications.
Anyone you share the emergency card PDF with can read it. Notifications avoid health details because lock screens can be seen by others.
6. Service providers we use
We use a small number of companies to run Kinlovi. They process information only on our instructions and under contracts that protect it:
- Cloud hosting and database providers, where Kinlovi and its data are stored.
- Private file storage for documents and photos. Files are never public: they open through links that expire after five minutes.
- Expo (push notification delivery) and Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Resend, to send sign-in code emails.
- RevenueCat, Apple App Store and Google Play, for subscriptions.
- Apple and Google, if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
7. How long we keep information
- We keep your account and your circle’s information for as long as you use Kinlovi.
- When you delete your account, your account and personal settings are deleted right away. Circles you organize are handed to another family member so nobody loses the shared records; a circle with nobody else in it is deleted along with its documents. Entries you made in a shared circle (like logged doses or posts) stay with that circle for the family.
- When an organizer deletes a circle, it can be restored for 30 days and is then removed for good, including its documents.
- Technical logs are kept only for a limited time and then deleted.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Sign-in codes are stored hashed and expire after 10 minutes. Sessions are stored in your phone’s secure keychain. Documents are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived links. Access within a circle follows roles, and our systems check that you belong to a circle before showing anything from it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone and email account protected too.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, or get a copy of it;
- correct it (most of it you can edit in the app);
- delete it (see Delete your account);
- object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
- complain to your data protection authority.
To use these rights, email privacy@kinlovi.com. We’ll answer within 30 days. We don’t sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California law.
You can request removal of particular personal information without deleting your account. Email privacy@kinlovi.com from your account email, identify the circle and records you want removed, and say that you want to keep your account. We verify your identity before making changes. Shared care records may remain where another family member needs them or retention is required by law; we explain any such exception when responding.
If information about the person you care for was added by someone else in your circle, ask them or the organizer to update or remove it, or contact us.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
Kinlovi is for adults. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account. We don’t knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when Kinlovi changes. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
